While “Other Side” deceptively seems like the best song on this EP, “Talking To The Moon” actually takes that title, the piano driven ballad featuring some beautiful vocals on the hook that are not often captured in mainstream pop songs. The track has a sentiment that radiates so strongly that anyone could feel it, as Bruno soulfully howls to the familiar satellite in the hope that his message will somehow make its way to a lost former lover. It is both aurally simplistic, and emotionally complex, and really shows the ability of Mars and his cohort of songwriters in The Smeezingtons.
